Welcome to the BOCES Center for Adult and Community Services

Browse through our Spring/Summer Brochure and you can't help but notice that many of these courses are about jobs and careers. Each year thousands of people, in our communities, take BOCES courses to enrich their careers and their lives. Many improve their job skills, others pursue new interests, many improve their English or get ready for their GED exam and all of them have a goal; a better life for themselves and their families.

We respond to the requests of our students by adding new courses like "Phlebotomy and EKG”, "Patient Care Technician" and "Licensed Practical Nurse", so we're sure you'll find a class to help you achieve your goal. Whether your goal is job related or personal, the BOCES course you select will be an excellent learning experience.

Occupational education options include secondary day programs for high school students, basic occupational education programs for classified students with disabilities and occupational needs requiring a specialized and supportive approach, Vocational English-as-a-Second-Language, the Alternative High School, and the Incarcerated Youth Program. Vocational training for adults is available in daytime and evening programs, as described in this brochure.
